June Lake Arthur

The last weekend of June was my annual trip to Lake Arthur in western PA. We had a below average trip but still had a great time. I am usually able to find some schools of fish and put some real good numbers in the boat. But this year I was a bit late and they had already moved out of the coves and bays.
I went hunting for them on main lake lay-downs and weedlines. We put 66 fish in the boat over 3 days. That may sound good but we have hit 100 before on this trip. And we usually average about 80-90. Most all of the fish were caught on wacky rigged senkos in melon seed. I like to use an o-ring on the worm and then hook the o-ring with a weedless 1.0 worm hook. We would pitch this around any cover we could find and let it sink to the bottom.
When the line twitches, SET THE HOOK! Our best fish was a 3 pounder.
